this wednesday my blog’s engine told me i should update it. and it told me to back up all my data before i do anything. so i went to my control panel and first thing i decided to do was to get rid of the old backup files in the root dirctory. what i didnt notince is that the /blog/ directory got selected along with the stuff i wanted to remove. so just like that i removed my whole blog. one little click on the Del button…

after freaking out for about 15 minutes and trying to figure out what exactly happened i contacted my web hosting’s technical support. they told me they cant recover any files cuz it’s ext3. and they don’t have any backups for my account (im not comlaining, these guys are still the best and they host this website for free, they are absolutely amazing). but what they did find is an old hard drive at the data centre. and the managed to give me a copy of my blog which is only like one month old. and i did have the sql database. so it looks like all i lost is an illustration to one of the lates posts which was uploaded and attached within the last month. anyway…
